Recreation Services

Recreation Services encourages personal growth and builds relationships through involvement in a variety of social events, classes, and physical activities. 

Supported activities include the ARI Artists Initiative Classes, Aqua-Aerobics, Dinner Dances, Vacations, Bocce, Trips to Watch Local Sporting Events including the Bridgeport Sound Tigers, Monthly Dinners, and much more.  Members of ARI participate in community recreational groups including Challenged People in Motion Golf, Darien YMCA Funbusters, Special Olympics (including swimming, snow shoeing, bowling, and track & field), and much more.   ARI also facilitates vacations including overnight stays at nearby destinations and week long vacations.

April 2021

ARI Artists’ Initiative Classes will take place on Wednesday, April 7th and 21st from 4:00-5:30pm.  Draw with friends and show off your artwork.  Must RSVP by Friday, April 2nd and April 16th to receive art supplies.

Join us for Bingo on Tuesday, April 13th from 4:00-5:30pm.  Play your favorite game with friends. Must RSVP by Friday, April 9th to ensure that you receive a bingo card.

The 15th Annual Walk for Independence will take place the week of April 25th.  This will be a virtual event with a live kickoff on Sunday, April 25th.  All festivities will be broadcasted online.  Please contact Gerard Gasparino for more information or visit www.arict.org.
