Recreation Services

Recreation Services encourages personal growth and builds relationships through involvement in a variety of social events, classes, and physical activities. 

Supported activities include the ARI Artists Initiative Classes, Aqua-Aerobics, Dinner Dances, Vacations, Bocce, Trips to Watch Local Sporting Events including the Bridgeport Sound Tigers, Monthly Dinners, and much more.  Members of ARI participate in community recreational groups including Challenged People in Motion Golf, Darien YMCA Funbusters, Special Olympics (including swimming, snow shoeing, bowling, and track & field), and much more.   ARI also facilitates vacations including overnight stays at nearby destinations and week long vacations.

March, 2021

ARI Artists’ Initiative Classes will take place on Wednesday, March 10th and 24th from 4:00-5:30pm.  Draw with friends and show off your artwork.  Must RSVP by Friday, March 5th and March 19th to receive art supplies.

Join us for Bingo on Tuesday, March 16th from 4:00-5:30pm.  Play your favorite game with friends. Must RSVP by Tuesday, March 9th to ensure that you receive a bingo card.

Special Olympics Activities for February (Flyers attached).  Please note that you must register for the activities with the Special Olympics.  For more information, contact Katie York at kathryny@soct.org.
